ValuWaste Tracker is
used
to collect pre-consumer food waste information. To that effect, one or more Trackers
are placed in kitchen locations close to where the
actual waste is generated or disposed of.
Employees weigh all food waste prior to disposing it, using Tracker.
This is accomplished via a process that takes about 15 seconds per
container. Periodically, typically once
per week, the manager transfers all of the accumulated
waste data in his/her Trackers to a designated PC that hosts
the ValuWaste
Advantage software application. Advantage
builds and maintains the
database that contains the complete record of all
waste data. Also, as part of the initial installation, each Tracker is
pre-loaded with the specific food types, loss reasons
and container types that apply to its area of operation,
as well as the list of employees who will be using it.
Managers can easily update these lists because they are saved in the same ValuWaste
database as the waste data, and managed through the
Advantage software application. |
