This past week has been our best yet reaching nearly a 70% reduction in food loss. Of the remaining waste we've been able to donate approximately 66% to our local Salvation Army to help feed the homeless and less fortunate. We are an excellent example of a great success story with full support from the LEANPATH TEAM! Thank you for all you have done for us, the community of La Crosse and the reduction of food waste in the state of Wisconsin! LeanPath has become part of our daily lives at work in the kitchen as Gundersen Lutheran and ALWAYS will be. And we are very proud of that.

The program reminds me of Weight Watchers- its another program that is very simple... you eat less and if you follow the program as its laid out, you lose weight. In ValuWaste, you prepare what you need so essentially you cook less, and if you follow the program you save money- tons of it! This program has really taught our staff that they do make a difference, and that when they throw out food, they are throwing away money.
