ValuWaste Tracker automates food waste tracking, making it possible to record complete information about a wasted food item in less than 10 seconds.

Staff use the centrally-located Tracker and its friendly touch-screen "interview" to record all kitchen waste immediately prior to disposal.

The Tracker automatically records:

• Date & Time
• Weight of item on scale
• Value of item on scale
• Number of waste recordings
• Time required to input each recording
• Default waste type (pre-consumer food waste)

Additional Features

• English & Spanish operation
• Nested, categorical waste choices. For example, a user could select "fruit" and then see options for bananas, apples, & oranges. This allows for tracking in as much detail as desired.
• Displaying only food items on the menu for a specific station or daypart
• One-step entry for identical items (e.g. pre-portioned cake) through a "Multiply" button
• Recurring transactions used to speed data entry for frequently used items and to integrate waste data from satellite operations tracking waste on paper

• Volume-based data entry alternative. For example, provide the number of "coffee shuttles" and the system calculates the weight and value of the expired coffee
• Display the estimated value for every waste item after saving
• Compute a different value for wastes item depending on the Loss Reason. For example, melon rind trim waste would be worth less per lb. than spoiled, prepped melon slices
• Staff may view an item after they record it and delete errors for a limited time

Manager Features:

• Tracker Summary: Provides managers with a flash summary of total waste for the day
• Manager console: Password protected area used to transfer data and load Tracker configurations
• Training mode: Saves no data during training
• Back-ups: Waste data stored for a limited time after each transfer
• Auto-recalibration: Field recalibration of the scale, if necessary

Data Collection Terminal

• Color resistive touch-screen display
• Available with mounting brackets to attach to a wall (optional)
• Durable & highly water-resistant terminal housing (stainless steel top & steel case; not water immersible)
• Operates on standard 110/120v electric circuit
• Audio output with volume adjustment and muting capability (Model T100 only)
• Variable brightness and contrast settings for LCD
• System sleeps when not in use; rotates customizable splash screen

Data Transfer

• Stores up to eight weeks worth of data

• Data retained indefinitely in the event of power outage or disconnection
• Data transferred in/out via USB port; does not require Ethernet connection
• Direct connect Tracker to PC using Active Sync connection (optional feature)
• Wireless connection (under development; inquire for status)

Integrated Bench Scale

• 304 stainless steel construction
• 50 lb capacity with maximum 200% overload (150 lb)
• Compensated Temperature Range: 14°F to 104°F (-10°C to 40°C)
• Base design isolates load cell from overloads and shock loads for added durability
• Specially designed adjustable support feet provide exceptional traction and won't scratch surfaces
• Bubble-level included
• Load cell is NTEP certified, aluminum and environmentally sealed
• Cable with connector to data collection terminal
